“The One forming light and creating darkness, causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the Lord who does all these.” Isaiah 45:7
He is Lord over all, controlling the good and the bad. There’s absolutely nothing out of his control, so we might as well surrender our lives to Him, instead of living with fear of darkness or calamity. Besides, this is the same Lord who says to His people, ‘Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine!” Isaiah 43:1
God’s plan for us should fill us with hope, not dread of the unknown. We know that He is good and that He loves us. He says that He has no plans to harm us. Do we trust Him? Do we believe His word? Then we have hope for our future.
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way, to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey
Your reaction to your circumstances reveals your heart. Does it trust the Lord? Does it react with peace and anticipation or concern and worry? Do you want to be happy? There’s only one way…
God knows the details. He knows the big picture. He’s the only one with all of the information. Trust Him to make decisions for your life, to guide your path, to arrange your circumstances. He’s the only one who can with wisdom and with a loving heart.
He has a plan. He wants you to have hope. Know that He has it figured out and will bring it about.
Call to Him, and He will answer. He doesn’t appease, but He loves to please My children. He takes care of them, and they need to trust Him with what’s best.
