Do You Belong to God?

There comes a time when you must decide whose you are. Do you belong to yourself or do you belong to God? Being a Christian doesn’t mean living selfishly and then asking forgiveness. A servant of God gives up the freedom to choose selfishly (which only leads to chains) and sacrifices self only to find freedom in Christ. Freedom to do right, to do the will of the Father, to be changed, to be like Jesus with maturing fruit showing the work of the Spirit.

One Goal

The only way to be one, united, is to be one with Christ. Trying to make everyone the same is not the solution. A middle ground is a low standard and poor goal. Christ-like is the goal, a high standard and perfect outcome.

The Light that Leads Out of the Dark

Let God ‘s light bring you out of the darkness. He can see in the dark to lead you. Don’t seek refuge and hide there in the dark. Don’t stay there. Don’t seek an artificial light. An artificial light will also trap you there in the darkness. There is a place God leads you where there is darkness, where there is no truth and seemingly no hope. His light is the only way out. Follow His light out of the darkness. Others will follow you, you who see the Light, and will be rescued.

God, the Father

God calls us His children. How does a parent and child interact? The parent teaches, guides, decides, directs, plans, convinces, corrects, disciplines, gifts, praises, commands, demands, coerces, explains, provides, celebrates, loves. God does all that for us. We are the children. What does the child do? Questions, follows, learns, tests, submits, honors, thanks, loves, praises.
