Who Is the Christ?
He is the Lamb of God who was slain. He is the author and finisher of faith. He is the beginning and the end. He is the holy one of God. He came meek and mild and riding on a colt. When He returns, He will be awesome, to be feared.
We Bear His Name
His light, His life is marred by those who say His name. To bear His name is to bear His cross. To bear His cross is to be put to death. To shine His light is to walk in the Spirit. To walk in the Spirit is to live out His righteous, holy word.
Keep the Law of the Lord
Addiction
Addiction is slavery to a ‘lustful pleasure’. God turns us over to our lusts to show us our depravity.
Can You Hear Him?
It can be hard to the Lord in the middle of all the distractions of life. It can be hard to hear Him when your thoughts are racing, but that’s when you need to focus on Him even more. Jesus didn’t lose sight of the Father in the middle of the throng. He was still watching and listening. It’s possible to not lose sight of me and to hear me no matter what noise surrounds you.
Follow
Follow your heart to deception. Follow the law to the grave. Follow Jesus to life. Follow His word to wisdom.
Focus on the Now
You only need to do what you need to do now.
Think on Him
Think of God. Think of Him often. He is with you always. Do you ignore someone who is with you? Don’t ignore Him except when you need Him. In a relationship you need to think of each other and show it.
Give Thanks When God Is Silent
Thank God for His silence, for His delay, for His leaving you in anticipation of His next move. The burden of knowing His thoughts, His ways, is too much for you. His thoughts are too heavy for you. They could crush you. He will give you what you can carry, what you can handle. Wait for Me to bring to you what comes next. Don’t carry it in the form of worry or despair. Release the future to Him (He holds it in His hand anyway) and thank Him for the silence.
